Patient Advisory Board

Dr. Alan Balch is the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Patient Advocate Foundation and CEO of the National Patient Advocate Foundation. He was most recently CEO of Patient Advocate Foundation. Previously he held the position of vice president of the Preventive Health Partnership, a collaboration between the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Heart Association. He is also the past executive director of Friends of Cancer Research. Balch volunteers as a member of the board of directors for the Center for a New American Dream and the Colorectal Cancer Coalition. He holds a doctorate in environmental studies and a master’s in environmental sciences.
